About Us
OUR STORY
Built to disagree with the way things are
Thread Theory was not built to fill a gap in the market. It was built because something needed to be said out loud — that Indian women have been told, for too long, to dress small. To pick the safe outfit. To wear what won't draw too much attention.
We disagreed with that. So we built a brand around the disagreement.
THE BELIEF
Bold is not a size. It is a decision.
Thread Theory was not built for a specific body. It was built for the specific feeling you get when you stop dressing for the room and start dressing for yourself. Western wear for every body, every size, every shape — because the biggest act of confidence is wearing the outfit that scares you a little.
"No risks, no rewards. That is not just a campaign line. It is the only fashion advice worth giving."
— Tanya, Founder
WHAT WE MAKE
Three categories. One standard.
Dresses, co-ords and blazers — designed for Indian women who want western wear that actually fits. Not standard sizing that was never built for our bodies. Custom fit is available on every single piece we make.
You tell us your measurements. We make the piece for your body. That is the standard every woman deserves — and the one we refuse to compromise on.
THE MISSION
Every purchase does more
A portion of every Thread Theory purchase goes directly toward girl child education in India. This was not added later. It was built into the business before the first sale was made.
A brand that tells women to own the room should be building a world where every girl gets to walk into one. That is not a campaign. It is a permanent commitment.
